Privacy Policy

PocketLlama · Effective date: June 12, 2026

PocketLlama ("the App") is a mobile client for the Ollama server software. This policy explains what data the App handles and how. The short version: we do not collect, store, or sell any of your data.

1. Data we collect

None. The App has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising SDKs, and no accounts. We operate no backend servers and never receive your conversations, files, voice recordings, or connection details.

2. Data stored on your device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

This data never leaves your device except as described in section 3. Uninstalling the App deletes it.

3. Where your messages go

When you send a message, it is transmitted directly from your device to the Ollama server that you configured yourself — your own machine, your own remote server, or your Ollama Cloud account. The App is only a client; the processing of your prompts on that server is governed by your own setup or, for Ollama Cloud, by the Ollama privacy policy. We are not affiliated with Ollama and have no access to this traffic.

4. Voice input

Speech recognition is performed by your operating system's built-in services (Android SpeechRecognizer / Apple Speech framework). Audio is processed according to the privacy terms of Google or Apple respectively; depending on your device settings, recognition may happen on-device or via the OS vendor's servers. The App only receives the recognized text. Voice note recordings are stored locally on your device.

5. Permissions

Permissions are requested only when you first use the corresponding feature.

6. Children's privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
